Mother is the dearest one on earth. Madam Parr, the founder of Excelsior, Fondly known as ‘Amma’ was a deserving example of a mother.

Before fifty years when she started a small nursery in Adipur, it was her ambition to bring up her school to a high school. She was committed to her mission and finally she achieved her aim of building a full fledged school.

Vision

The founder of the school ‘Madam Lily Parr, started this educational institution in 1964 with a vision to provide education in English to the children of this town and also the neighboring villages.

Mission

Madam Parr took her task as a mission and personally did all she could to first educate the parents to send their children to an English medium school. It was an uphill task but she was not deterred. She began her school with three children. Her mission at first seemed difficult but with perseverance, the number of children began to increase.
