1985 – 2014

1985

  • Madam Parr’s second daughter Sheela finished her studies and took over the charge of the school from Mrs Usha Ahir. All this time the school was running in three nearby double – storied houses. Madam Parr had a residential plot in Ward 3/A. She started sending money from Dubai and a school building consisting of 18 rooms was constructed. From June 1985 all the classes running in these houses came under one roof. Students began increasing and with it the fame of the school also spread. Students from Anjar, Shinay, Antarjar, etc. far – off places also joined the school.
  • In 1990 Excelsior added another feather to its cap by starting the secondary section. It was a great relief for our parents and the students. They used to find it difficult to get admission to eighth standard in other schools. Soon our first batch of tenth standard appeared for board exams. It was a great feeling for the inmates of Excelsior.
  • As students began increasing we began experiencing lack of space, The local authority known as S.R.C. were kind enough to give us in Ward 4/B, a 3.5 acres of land allotted for school purpose
  • Slowly construction of the rooms started. All the classes began having two divisions.
  • In 2003, another feather was added to the school, when we started our Higher Secondary Section. There was a feeling of completeness and wholeness. Now Excelsior is full-fledged institution ready to compete with other leading educational institutions. Our students of tenth and twelfth come out with flying colors in the board exams. We feel happy that though our students are from middle class and lower middle class and not having a family background where parents are not so educated and yet they want to put their children in English medium schools. Right from the initial stages, ‘TEACHERS’ have played vital role in the bright performance of our children in the board exams.
