President’s Message

Excelsior Model School is celebrating the Golden Jubilee. I am looking back to fifty years from now when madam Parr had started her small nursery. It was her ambition to bring up her nursery to a secondary school.

Sheela Stephenson, Madam Parr’s daughter, joined her mother, immediately after her studies, to share the responsibilities. The pair of mother and daughter went ahead with the project keeping their aim in mind. With their dedication and tireless efforts Excelsior blossomed to a full – fledged secondary school.

Madam Parr passed away and Sheela was left alone. With grief-stricken heart but with determined mind she continued her journey. It was then she got the support of Harsha Mehta. Sheela and Harsha worked together, overpowering the obstacles, and today Excelsior stands as a higher secondary school.

I appreciate and congratulate Sheela Stephenson, secretary, Harsha Mehta, principal and their team of staff for their sincere hard work. I hope to get the same support from them in the coming years to mould and enrich our students to be tomorrow’s good citizens.

I feel happy that I am also a part of Excelsior family and extend my contribution for the development of the school. On the occasion of the golden jubilee celebration let this souvenir be a befitting tribute to our departed ‘Amma’, Late Madam Parr, whose ‘Excelsior’ is serving this society through education since last fifty years.
