Principal’s Desk

Harsha Mehta

This souvenir is dedicated to the founder of the school, our beloved Honorable Madam Lily Parr, who established the school on 14th July, 1964 with three students only. Today it is bloomed into a big tree; a full- fledged higher secondary school with the kind support of our president Mr.Sethu Madhavan, secretary Mrs. Sheela Stephenson, qualified team of staff and our parents. Excelsior shines in the field of education today.

As I reminisce over the fifty glorious years of Excelsior’s existence and growth, my heart fills with love, admiration and pride for the fertile soil which the school provides to the three-year olds, who enter its portals for the first time in kindergarten, to learn to live as responsible human beings.

My association with Excelsior dates back to the year 1985 when I was appointed as an assistant teacher and as principal from September 1998, I have been shouldering the responsibility of taking Excelsior forward on the path of progress and achievement.

Our motto – ‘Illuminate the minds with the light of education’ is in the heart of everything we do in the school. Discipline, values and integrity are the very foundation of our school.

Besides academic progress we seek to develop and nurture the different facets of a child. The school encourages the students to participate in various co-curricular activities like dance, drama, sports, eco friendly activities and social service also. The students have reached upto National level in sports.

Our children represent our hopes and dreams. As parents you want the best for your child and we are proud to be working with you to ensure that they are given the right knowledge to face future challenges.

At Excelsior, we hope to create an atmosphere of reverence for education and healthy environment which will mould them to be mature persons who will make India proud.

I remember and thank God for all the retired teachers, co-workers and all the members who have worked tirelessly to make Excelsior what it is today. I feel privileged and humble that God has given me an opportunity to serve Excelsior I hope to leave to the posterity my love-filled service to this great institution.

I extend my sincere thanks to our secretary Mrs. Sheela Stephenson who is always a source of inspiration for me.
Let us put in our best and believe to invest in the nation’s greatest asset – our children.

God bless you, Excelsior, and everyone who is serving to keep your flag forever fluttering Excelsior, I Love you. May you continue to prosper with God’s blessings in the years to come.

‘A CHILD WITHOUT EDUCATION IS LIKE A BIRD WITHOUT WINGS’
My dear students always remember ‘All Power is within you. You can do anything and everything. Believe in Yourself’.
